Udzungwa National Park
Centred on 3o 41'E and 7o 48'S the park falls in the Iringa and Morogoro Regions of south central Tanzania.The area of the park is 1900 km2 and its headquarters is located at Mang'ula, 60 km from Mikumi.Udzungwa Mountains National Park also harbours plant species found nowhere else in the world from a tiny African violet to 30 m high trees.The major attraction to the park is its biologically diverse and unique rainforest, where many rare plants not found any where in the world, have been identified, from, a tiny African violet to 30 meter high trees.
Activites and Special Interests Bird watching, photography, walking safaris.
Wildlife Six types of primates, including two endemic species - the iringa red colobus monkey and the sanje crested mangabey - the plateu supports populations of elephant,buffalo, four of which were only discovered in the last few years.
